Proposals must be submitted online.

Poster proposal

A poster proposal comprises the complete title of the paper, information about the authors and their affiliation, an abstract of the poster of about 300 words (max. 2000 characters, spaces included) and up to four keywords. The abstract will be published in the abstract book.

Paper proposal

A paper proposal comprises the complete title of the paper, information about the authors and their affiliation, an abstract of the paper of about 300 words (max. 2000 characters, spaces included) and up to four keywords. The abstract will be published in the abstract book. Some of the papers, based on their topics, will be chosen and the authors invited to participate in a symposium.

Symposium proposal

A symposium proposal comprises preferably four papers, and five papers at the most. Please be advised that we cannot guarantee a larger time slot for symposia with five papers. You will be asked to submit the complete title of the symposium, information about the organizers, an abstract of the symposium of about 300 words (max. 2000 characters, spaces included) and up to four keywords. For each individual paper you have to provide the complete title, information about the authors and their affiliation, an abstract of each paper of about 300 words (max. 2000 characters, spaces included) and up to four keywords.

The abstracts will be published in the abstract book.

Submission Guidelines

The conference welcomes paper, poster and symposia submissions.

Proposals have to be submitted in English via conference website.

Proposals consist of an abstract (max 300 words) and up to 4 keywords.

Symposia, individual papers and posters must address some aspect of the field of cognitive development, cognitive or executive functioning, learning, cognitive aspects in education as well as factors associated with learning, assessment, or intervention/training (e.g., dynamic testing/assessment, cognitive intervention and change, (meta)cognition, motivation, self-regulation, etc.). Special focus on minorities, migrants, asylum seekers is welcome.

The presentations consist of original empirical or experimental reports, or syntheses of some special research field. Both oral and poster presentations must include research question(s) and hypotheses, methods, results, discussion of results and educational/psychological relevance. Quantitative research paradigm is preferred; however, qualitative approaches to the study of the above mentioned topics are welcome as well.

The proposals will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Based on their evaluation a proposal can be accepted, rejected or offered an alternative presentation format. The decision will be e-mailed to you

  1. by the 25th of March 2016, for those participants who prefer to register by 1st of April; to profit from early bird registration the proposal has to be submitted till 20th of March at latest;
  2. by the 10th of July, for those participants who prefer to register by 15st of July; the proposal has to be submitted till 5th of July at latest.
  3. by the 29th of July, for those participants who prefer to register after July 15th . The proposal should be submitted till July 25th. Online registration will be closed August 25st.

The abstracts of all accepted presentations will be published online on the IACEP website as well as in an abstract book which will be provided to the conference participants.

Please note: photocopy service will NOT be available at the conference. If you want to provide hand-outs to participants attending your symposium, paper or poster session, you will need to bring the number of copies you are going to provide.
